Traub machine

A Traub machine is a single spindle automatic lathe (also called an automat or screw machine) made for fast, repeat production of small turned parts. Cams control the tool movements, and bar stock feeds in automatically, so once it is set up it runs with very little operator effort. It turns, drills, threads, grooves and parts off components such as bushes, pins, nuts, bolts, fittings and connectors, one after another with consistent size. Traub machines are widely used in auto component, electrical fittings, hardware and brass part manufacturing where large batches are needed at a low cost per piece.
