Encoders linear & rotary type

Encoders convert the movement of a machine axis or shaft into an electrical signal that a DRO or CNC controller can read as exact position, speed or angle. Linear encoders (also called linear scales) measure straight-line travel on milling machines, lathes, grinders and EDM machines. Rotary encoders measure shaft rotation for motors, spindles, rotary tables and automation systems. Both types are available in different resolutions and signal outputs, and they improve positioning accuracy, repeatability and machining quality.
