Magnetic linear scales

Magnetic linear scales measure axis travel using a magnetic tape and a sensor, and send the position to a digital readout (DRO) or controller. They handle dust, oil, coolant and vibration better than optical scales, so they suit rough workshop conditions on lathes, milling machines, grinders, press brakes and stone or wood cutting machines.
