Description
The Draw Bar is a critical component used in milling machines to securely hold tool holders, collets, or cutting tools inside the spindle. It passes through the spindle from the top and tightens the collet or tool holder by pulling it upward, ensuring precise alignment and firm clamping during machining operations.
Designed for high-strength performance, draw bars are typically manufactured from hardened alloy steel to withstand high rotational forces, vibration, and repeated tightening cycles. The threaded end of the draw bar matches the specific collet or tool holder type—such as R8, NT30, NT40, BT30, etc.—ensuring compatibility with a wide range of milling machine models.
Applications:
- Used in NT40 spindle milling machines for collet and tool holder clamping
- Ensures stable operation for milling, drilling, and boring tasks
- Essential in CNC and manual vertical milling machines
- Suitable for maintenance, replacement, and machine refurbishment
- Supports high-speed and heavy-duty machining operations
Advantages:
- Provides firm, vibration-free clamping for precision machining
- Durable and heat-treated for long-term industrial use
- Compatible with standard NT40 spindle tooling
- Easy installation and replacement
- Reduces tool slippage and enhances machining accuracy
