Description
A 0.75 HP (≈ 0.55 kW) heavy-duty bench grinder is a bench-mounted grinding machine designed to handle tool-sharpening, metal shaping, and grinding work in workshops, fabrication shops, and tool rooms. The "heavy-duty" tag means it's built to last, with a rugged construction and a motor that can sustain more demanding grinding tasks than a light bench grinder.
Features
Bench Grinders are used for grinding of tools, tips, light grinding etc. Each machine is equipped with two Nos . Grinding Wheel
Used for grinding of Tool, tips, light grindings etc.
Use of best quality stamping and die-cast rotors
Dynamically Balanced rotor minimizes vibrations and ensures smooth running
Construction of the machines are made sturdy and robust to offer vibration free performance.
Machine provided with Two nos. Grinding Wheel .
Adjustable tool rests are provided to ensure maximum usage of Grinding wheels . Tool rests are machined to give proper level to the Grinding component.
Eye Shields are recommended for each machine. The same is supplied as an extra accessory except in 2 H.P. and 3 H.P. machines where they are supplied as a standard accessory.
Use of high quality grease for lubrication. Recommended use of grease LITHON3 or equivalent
This Machine is subject to rigid quality control tests.
Machines of different voltage and different frequency can be supplied against specific orders
All machines carry warranty (except Ball Bearings) against any manufacturing defect as per the warranty terms prevailing of the company. No warranty for wear and tear items
Applications
Grinding Capacity:
1. Suitable for general grinding — shaping, sharpening, deburring.
2. Can grind steel, cast iron, tool bits, and similar metalwork.
3. Not the highest power grinder, but robust enough for a lot of workshop / industrial grinding tasks.
Duty Cycle:
1. Properly built versions (with good bearings, cast iron body) can run for fairly long durations.
2. Not necessarily built for very heavy continuous industrial duty (like pedestal or floor grinders) but very capable for bench-mounted tasks.
Vibration:
1. With a well-balanced rotor + cast iron base + good bearings → stable and low vibration.
2. Four-bearing versions are better for minimizing vibration compared to two-bearing ones.
Benefits
Smooth, stable grinding — Cast iron body + good bearings → reduces vibration → more accurate work.
Safety — Eye shields, spark guards, tool rests help protect the operator.
Durability — 0.75 HP with good winding and bearings gives a reliable lifetime in workshop use.
Versatility — Works for a variety of grinding tasks: shaping, sharpening, polishing.
Electrical Flexibility — Option between 1-phase or 3-phase helps based on your power setup.
Maintenance — Dressing wheels and replacing parts is more manageable; helps in long-term use.
